Maria Williamson

Maria Williamson is an ACP-registered Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist with extensive experience working across Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and specialist inpatient settings.

Maria helps children, young people, and families understand the underlying emotional meaning of difficulties that may be expressed through feelings, behaviour, relationships, or symptoms, including trauma, attachment difficulties, anxiety, depression, neurodiversity, self-harm, and complex mental health needs.

Maria's doctoral research explored the experience of reflective practice in inpatient settings, reflecting her longstanding interest in staff wellbeing, therapeutic thinking, and the role of reflection in supporting effective care.
