Family-orientated · Integrative
Whole-family care that treats mind and body as one
A multidisciplinary team supporting children and families, from first assessment through to lasting change. We reject the model that separates mental health from physical health — we see them as one.
We believe that mental health, physical health, and family wellbeing are not separate concerns — they are one. PsychSense was founded on the conviction that families cannot be understood apart from their systems, nor their minds apart from their bodies.
Our clinical disciplines
Integrated expertise for complex presentations.
Biopsychosocial assessment
Thorough assessment and shared formulation — understanding predisposing, precipitating, perpetuating and protective factors.
Family-based therapy
Systemic, family-based therapy and parenting support — sometimes together, sometimes with separate parent work alongside the young person.
CBT, DBT & psychotherapy
Evidence-based psychological therapies, applied alongside the health and lifestyle interventions from your client management frame.
Neurodevelopmental assessments
ADHD, ASD, and combined assessments — clinical interview, standardised questionnaires, developmental history, and a feedback session.
How an assessment works
From your first form to an agreed plan — four steps, start to finish.
Questionnaires & forms
We send a client health questionnaire, baseline rating scales and risk assessment forms to complete before your first appointment.
Client management frame
Our integrative psychiatrist reviews everything you've sent and builds your initial health and lifestyle recommendations.
Consultation & report
A remote appointment to review progress and gather further history, followed by a written clinical report.
Follow-up & referral
A follow-up appointment to agree the management plan, with referral to a psychologist, therapist, GP or paediatrician if needed.
A multidisciplinary team
Psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists and nurses, working as one.
Our clinicians work collaboratively — not in silos.
When your child sees our psychiatrist for an assessment and then our psychologist or family practitioner, both conversations inform each other. You are the most powerful agent for change — we build the plan around you, together.

The PsychSense Family Fund
Healthy families lead to healthy communities
No amount is too small — every donation goes towards the family fund, so families who are motivated to change but can’t afford private care can still access our support.
